M&G Endowment Fund
Recently a very fine couple (they wish to remain anonymous) contacted us with an innovative idea. They wish to leave a lasting legacy to the Native Peoples of the Southwest. They helped us structure a fund to keep working long after they are gone, in the form of an endowment, meaning that we will invest their initial donation and each year just the proceeds (for the principal would remain the same) would be used on our various projects.
Thus the Southwest Indian Foundation "M and G Endowment Fund" has been born.
The mechanics are pretty simple. The inaugural gift is $25,000. So right now at 5% per year, the interest would be $1,250 annually. It is a good start, and something to build on. Through the last number of months a few added gifts have come in, and the Endowment is growing?
